Temporary Health and Safety and Maintenance Officer
£21,636 p.a. for 35 hour week (would consider part time).
You will enjoy a challenging mix of responsibilities, from dealing with daily maintenance issues through to advising the Senior Management Team on health and safety issues.
You will have a practical approach to maintenance, will love fixing things (so you will be good at DIY) and won’t mind tackling jobs yourself that involve getting your hands dirty and can be physically demanding. You will decide when a job needs a specialist contractor to do the work. However, you will also be able to guide staff on health and safety matters such as fire safety and be proactive in improving the physical environment.
You will have back-up from an external H&S specialist advisory service to ensure TOR remains compliant with all its H&S responsibilities. You will have some part-time volunteer assistance.
You will be organised, good at record keeping, proficient in Microsoft Office and be sympathetic to the issues relating to care of the elderly.
This is a temporary role for an initial period of three months.
