Description

For Sale, Trek Remedy 8, 2011

I purchased this bike new and now as a result of going travelling I am reluctantly putting it up for sale. They bike has been meticulously maintained throughout its life and has many upgrades from stock. Recently I have fully rebuilt both the front and rear shocks and treated the bike to new bearings throughout. The bike is in good condition; it has the typical minor scuffs and dings you would expect from a bike of this age, but nothing significant and no marks on the stanchions. It does have one medium size dent on the downtube (which I frustratingly got on the first day I rode it), but nothing functionally to worry about. Condition wise, it is in great shape.

Frame is 18.5" virtual and 17.5" actual. Generally I would say this should suit any rider between roughly 5'6" and 6'1".

The components and upgrades include:

Rear Shock Fox Float RP-2 (recently rebuilt)
Fork Fox 32 Talas RL (recently rebuilt)
Cassette Shimano (probably SLX) (recently changed)
Crankarms Shimano M552
Rear Derailleur Shimano Deore XT (recently replaced, this has the clutch system)
Front Derailleur None
Front Chain Ring Superstar Narrowwide 32T (recently upgrade)
Shifter Pods Shimano SLX, 10 speed
Handlebar Nukeproof Warhead (upgrade)
Stem Raceface Evolve (upgrade)
Brakes Avid Elixir 5
Hubs Nukeproof Generator 15mm front hub, Shimano alloy M525 rear hub (front upgrade)
Rim Mavic 819 front, Bontrager Duster rear (front upgrade)
Seat Bontrager Evoke 2
Seatpost KS LEV (150mm travel) (imo the best seat post around and great fit for this bike, £250 upgrade)
Pedals DMR V8 Magnesium

I am letting the bike go cheap, because I am looking for a quick sale. No negotiations.
