Matilda is fully portable and offers a magnificently large decked area with a stylish handrail. On her roof is a 120W solar panel powering, a pump, LED lighting and 12V/USB charge points. She has a stunning wood fueled hot tub, a fold out toilet cubicle, shower set up and a practical, well thought out Cabana providing space to sit, change, read, relax, cook, entertain and sleep.
The therapeutic benefits that spa owners enjoy are vast; physical to emotional stress relief, reduced muscle pain, relaxation from arthritis, and much more. The soothing warmth and buoyancy of warm water in the hot tub, and the comfortable sofa in the cabana will really bring your health into focus. You can also use aromatherapy bath salts and all kinds of essential oils to heighten your experience.
The hot tub itself is hand made out of the finest Larch timber and can accommodate up to 6 people. It has an internal stainless-steel fire box that generates 12KW of heat and depending on the outside temperature will heat the water to 38 degrees Celsius in 3-4 hours during the summer months. The lid is then used to regulate the water temperature; it couldn't be simpler.
While hot tubbing visiting the rest room and showering is essential. So, I have incorporated both. The left hand side of the deck has a built in shower tray; once the shower is in place simply pull the cord for an amazing hot shower (gas required). On the opposite side we have a 3 sided fold-out cubicle with a waterproof curtain; this is suitable for a porta potty, or, if you prefer, could make an excellent outdoor changing room.
Let’s take a look at the luxurious Cabana. We enter through the oak double doors to see the inviting red velvet sofa, here is an amazing place to relax in comfort and style.
The Cabana has a number of cleverly placed rails and hooks to hang clothes and towels. It features plenty of shelving space, a mirror, two tables (which neatly double up as window blinds), a sizable drawer for storage, warm LED lighting, tailored red matching curtains, an oak floor, 12V socket, battery volt meter and two USB charging points. Not to mention that the sofa extends out to make an extremely comfortable double bed. A perfect place to sleep after a magical evening of hot tubbing under the stars!
Matilda is built on a solid reconditioned galvanized steel AL-KO chassis with brand new wheels and tyres. She has a self-regulating braking system which will automatically allow you to reverse.
For safety reasons Matilda requires an adequate towing vehicle, should never be towed with the hot tub full of water, and you should not exceed 50 MPH.
Extras include: spare wheel, tarpaulin for dry storage, wooden mixing oar, thermometer, steps in and out, ash grate, fire box cleaning tools, jack leg stabilisers X 4, crank handle(for side winding jacking legs), a guide to using your hot tub and one bottle of essential oil.
