Black and Ethnic Minority Support Worker
Salary: Point 22, £20,253
Hours: 37.5 hours (Including some evening and Saturday working on a rota basis)
Location: Bristol
Providing high quality safe house accommodation and support to black and ethnic minority women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, with a victim centred approach, focussing on safety and recovery
The successful candidate will have:
• an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on women and children, particularly black minority ethnic groups
• experience of working with women and children impacted by forced marriage, honour based violence and or female genital mutation.
• experience of working in supported housing.
• knowledge of the safety options available to women experiencing domestic abuse
• experience of support planning and risk assessment
• an understanding of cultural diversity
• a full driving licence and access to transport
