There is a shop and hotel with bar in Drumbeg five miles to the east, and Flossie's Beach Stores has recently re-opened in nearby Clachtoll.

The whole of Assynt is designated a National Scenic Area and offers some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain. The coastline provides a mixture of cliffs, rocky inlets and unspoilt sandy beaches with stunning views and spectacular sunsets.

The area offers recreational facilities including sea and loch fishing, sailing, mountaineering, hiking, surfing, hill-walking, deer-stalking, bird watching and other outdoor pursuits.

The croft is just off the new NC500 tourist route.
