Zongshen 125 bike
£400
Description
I have a Zongshen Artix 125 for sale. I will run through the details so you have all the information. I purchased the bike in February not knowing much about bikes for £600. I rode it around for a couple of days and found that when you abruptly open the throttle it cut out. The clutch was also very stiff. I decided I would replace the clutch plates but in doing so you can now no longer disengage the clutch (my own fault).
I don’t have the know-how or desire as I now have a full bike license to try and get this bike sorted. The bike does run (you have to use the kick start as it doesn’t seem to like the electric when it hasn’t been run for a bit) but there are some problems. Cuts out when abruptly going to fill throttle, can’t disengage clutch, horn doesn’t work, electric start doesn’t work without running the bike for a while, exhaust system is air tight, rear indicators cracked. There is however a brand new clutch, the exhaust pipes are brand new (not the end can, that came with it), I have a new horn and indicators to give away with it. In the picture there are no fairings but I do have all of these as well. The bike has done just under 9000km.
It does also have an MOT although I’m not sure when it expires, can check online. Lastly the previous owner obviously thought it wasn’t important to send off the log V5 either so I have had to contact the DVLA and send of a V6 form to declare that I am the owner. I have a receipt from the person and also the V5C/2 just to make sure you don’t think I’m trying to sell a stolen bike. Because of this though, you will have to fill in a V6 form and send off to the DVLA to request the new V5 with you as the registered keeper (this doesn’t cost anything).
I’m just trying to put up as honest ad as possible to know what you are getting (I would have appreciated this from the previous owner). I am looking for £400 no offers, I spent £600 on the bike and a few hundred on parts, with a little know-how you would have a running bike, obviously if you don’t know how to fix bikes or know someone that does then this isn’t really a bike for you as it’s more of a project. You will need a van to take it away as like I said it does run but you cannot disengage the clutch. I would like this bike gone as it’s just sat in the garage so please no time wasters, if you send me an email I will get back to you either by email or phone.
Cheers
