Well-experienced tutor offers private tuition in Physics, Maths and Chemistry (from Standard Grade up to University level) in the Edinburgh area and suburbs.
I was awarded my PhD in Physics from Heriot-Watt University in 2005 for my research on laser processing of Aluminium alloys. Afterwards I moved to Cranfield University (England) where I worked as a Research Scientist at the Welding Engineering Research Centre.
My established research record includes publications in a peer-reviewed academic journal and an international conference.
I have been a Private Tutor since 2009 and I have now accumulated more than 11 years of teaching experience.
That was partly acquired in academia, at the time that I worked as a Teaching Assistant in Heriot-Watt University (2000-2004).
My academic qualifications are:
PhD in Physics - Heriot-Watt University
MSc in Materials Science - University of Manchester
BSc in Physics (Hons, 1st class) - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece
I also hold a recent PVG certificate from Disclosure Scotland.
? am currently registered as a supply teacher with the Edinburgh Academy and I was formerly employed by Newbattle High School to deliver Physics tutorial sessions.
