Description
Our 5 Day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Course and Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme courses are part of the CITB Site Safety Plus group of courses.
They are aimed at those in a supervisory or management roles within the construction industry and meet the requirements of the BuildUK (formerly UK Contractors Group) Health and Safety Training Standard. All BuildUK member companies e.g. Balfour Beatty, Mace, BAM, Kier, Osbourne, Skanska etc. will require Site Managers to hold the SMSTS or an equivalent qualification if you are working as a manager on their projects, and the SSSTS or equivalent for supervisors.
The courses cover all aspects of managing health and safety on a construction project, from the planning phase through to completion. It deals with the key risk areas encountered in the industry and provides the knowledge required to effectively implement the necessary controls to ensure safety on projects
